A mailbox with 4 modem lines gave the impetus. A mailbox was a computer to which a few modems were connected. You could now use your own modem via telephone line and a speed of max. 14.4 Kbit / s, later 56.6 Kbit / s to connect to this computer and retrieve data.
In our case, customers could download the service packs and patches for our software from our mailbox. Demand rose, but the lines were limited. Intuit Germany did not yet have an internet presence at that time. So I suggested my idea of building a private website and making the files available to our customers there for the first time. That was the start of my website.
The basic structure at that time with header, navigation and content area has been preserved until today. The files for our customers could be downloaded directly from the first page. In the navigation there were available three more topic pages, which focused on my private interests.
This small website was my first professional and private internet project.

Topics and content areas were added, others were removed. In the meantime I am concentrating on the three subject areas Kumari / Nepal, Train & Travel, and IT & Computers. The topic Edith-Stein will be moved from my website to the SBZ-Net project in 2020.
